Mold Testing

Mold Inspection Sciences of Denver provides professional mold inspection, mold testing, and mold detection services.  In addition, we provide mold remediation support services (scopes of work and post remediation inspection and testing).  Our company does not perform mold abatement or remediation or construction of any kind.  Therefore, there are no conflicts of interest for our clients.

Mold Testing Services

Our professional mold testing services focus on: determining the existence of indoor microbial growth, type of mold growth, and the airborne concentration of mold spores (so you’ll know what you are breathing).

Various types of laboratory samples that we recommend to test for mold:

• Air samples — ambient (microbial spore concentrations in the air that you breathe),
• Air samples — wall cavity (spore concentrations inside of a wall or ceiling cavity),
• Surface (direct) samples (swabs, chunks and pieces of bulk material, tape lift)

Our mold samples are sent, via a proper chain of custody, to EMLab P&K for analysis.  Client’s are provided with a full, easy to understand, lab report.

Mold Inspection and Mold Detection Services

• Thorough, step-by-step, investigation of your own home, business, school, or rental property specially designed to identify sources and instances of water intrusion and to detect mold growth,
• A full color, mold inspection report containing our findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• We use top of the line moisture detection instruments, digital hygrometers, and Zefon BioPumps and Zefon Air-O-Cells (for airborne mold spore samples)

Mold Remediation and Abatement: Scopes of Work and Post Testing Services

• If the mold inspection and mold testing of the building detects a mold problem requiring remediation, we include a “scope of work” in your report that outlines how the mold should be professionally remediated.  This scope of work can be provided to companies that specialize in professional mold remediation and abatement services.
• Once the mold has been properly removed and all sources of moisture are repaired, Mold Inspection Sciences will perform post remediation inspection and testing to ensure that:
• All mold remediation containments are properly constructed and free of dust and debris,
• All microbial growth is cleaned and/or removed,
• All building materials are dry,
• All known sources of water intrusion are resolved, and
• Ambient air samples and cross contamination samples collected meet or exceed industry accepted standards for clearance.
